Sisters Harriet Violet and Mabel
I was delighted to come across this web-site which showed the Lawrence family.
My mother was Mabel Ellen Lawrence. She is shown in the right in a family shot with her un-forgettable smile.
She moved to Oxford & trained as a nurse, eventually becoming a chief theatre nurse at the John Radcliff. Upon leaving Northrepps she called herself Laurie. She met & married Kenneth Reginald Addison, an Engineering tool-maker later an Engineering lecturer.
We moved from Norwich to Rugby where he lectured at a large Rugby Engineering college. Still proud of my Norfolk roots.
I have often visited Northrepps and the church, where they lived & taken the walk to Overstrand with our dogs. Similarly mums sister Harriett married into the the Kittle family (Pee-wit farm Briston). And Violet lived in East Runton.
The photo of 3 women at garden party (Florence (Florrie) on the left, Harriett in centre & Violet on right) Violet married Don Abbs , a lovely tall dignified chap. Their children - Susan, Robert, still live in East Runton & Brian now lives near cousin Bart Kittle near Melton Constable. - Wow!!!
